Happy Birthday Lindsay Whalen!

In honor of Minnesota Lynx point guard Lindsay Whalen turning 34 years old today, on May 9th, we take a look back on what was an extremely exciting year for the 12-year WNBA veteran.

On her way to a third WNBA Championship with the Lynx, Whalen averaged 10.9 points, three rebounds and 4.2 assists per game, while making 46.2 percent of her shots.

On top of winning a title last season, Whalen was recently named to the 2016 Women’s Olympic Basketball team that will compete this summer in Rio.

It was an outstanding year for Whalen, and let’s hope this summer will provide her with lots of smiles, wins, a Gold Medal and a fourth WNBA Championship.
