Fowles Leads Beijing To Title

Winning comes in bunches.

Fresh off of winning the 2015 WNBA Championship with the Minnesota Lynx, center Sylvia Fowles led Beijing to the WCBA title on Tuesday. Beijing beat Xinjiang, 85-63, in Game 4 in Beijing. Fowles stuffed the stat sheet, finishing with 28 points, 18 rebounds, five steals, two assists and a block. She shot 11-for-15 from the field and 6-for-9 from the free-throw line.

It was Beijing’s second title in the last five years and it’s also the fourth consecutive winter a Lynx player has won a WCBA title.

The Lynx start their journey to win their fourth title in six years on May 14 against the Phoenix Mercury.
