Fowles' Big Night Leads Comeback In Atlanta

Notes from Wednesday’s win in Atlanta…

  • Sylvia Fowles finished the night with a game-high and season-high-tying 26 points, a season-high 19 rebounds, a season-high five blocks and two steals for the second time in her career (first with the Lynx). She becomes one of six players to record that stat line, joining Yolanda Griffith, Lisa Leslie, Candace Parker, Chiney Ogwumike and Britney Griner. She is the only player to do so twice in the regular season.
  • With her ninth defensive rebound of the night, Fowles registered her 2,500th career defensive rebound.
  • In 33:18 minutes of play, Damiris Dantas tallied a career-high six threes, finishing with 23 points, three rebounds and three assists.
  • With her third rebound of the night, Dantas notched her 500th Lynx rebound and with her third triple of the night, she tallied her 100th Lynx three-point field goal (currently 103).
  • Layshia Clarendon registered a near double-double with eight points and season-high nine assists. With her seventh assist of the night, he eclipsed the 700-career assist mark (currently 702).

Team Notes

  • Minnesota trailed by as many as 18 points midway through the second quarter before rallying back to a victory. The 18-point comeback equals the fourth-largest deficit Minnesota has ever erased to win.
  • The 18-point comeback also marks the biggest comeback win since making up an 18-point deficit at Seattle on June 25, 2015.
  • Minnesota connected on 34-of-65 (52.3%) from the field and are now 4-1 when shooting 45% or better from the floor.
  • Additionally, the Lynx swept the Dream in three contests and shot 50%+ from the floor in each (Jun. 23rd at Atlanta – 52.3%, Jun. 6 at Minnesota – 51.5%, Jun. 4 at Minnesota – 52.7%).
  • The Lynx outperformed the Dream in rebounds (35-27), assists (24-17), points in the paint (46-40) and second chance points (15-8).
