Dantas Sets New Mark For International Players

Notes from Wednesday’s win over the Sky:

  • Minnesota was led by Damiris Dantas who finished with a game-high 28 points on 10-of-13 from the field and a perfect 5-of-5 from deep, seven rebounds and two steals. Her 28 points mark the most points by a Lynx international player:

  • Dantas also becomes the ninth player in WNBA history to have a stat line of 25+ points/7+ rebounds/3+ steals/5+ 3FG joining Ruthie Bolton (twice), Elena Baranova, Tamika Catchings, Penny Taylor, Diana Taurasi (three times), Betty Lennox (twice) and Breanna Stewart.

  • Going 5-of-5 from deep, Dantas now ties the second highest mark for three-pointers made without a miss, only trailing Maya Moore (6-of-6, at Phoenix, 8/9/11)
  • In a game-high and career-high 39:12 minutes, Napheesa Collier recorded eight points, nine rebounds, five assists, two steals and three blocks. Collier has now tallied at least three blocks in a game on four occasions.
  • Crystal Dangerfield tallied 15 points, her 15th double-digit scoring effort of the season. She added a season-high seven assists and three steals making her the only Lynx rookie in team history to record such stat line.
  • In her 200th career game, Shenise Johnson notched six points, two rebounds, two assists and three steals.

  • With the 86-83 win, the Lynx clinch their 10th-straight winning season, extending the most prolific streak in WNBA history:

  • The Lynx recorded 50 points in the first half, marking the third time in the last six games they have had 50 by halftime (51, at Phoenix, 8/21 and 51, at Atlanta, 8/28).
