Minnesota Lynx Head Coach and President of Basketball Operations Honored by Ann Bancroft Foundation with 2025 DreamMaker Award  

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL – The Ann Bancroft Foundation announced today that Minnesota Lynx Head Coach and President of Basketball Operations, Cheryl Reeve has been awarded the 2025 DreamMaker Award. 

The State of Minnesota issued a Proclamation making April 24, 2025, Cheryl Reeve DreamMaker Day to honor her significant contributions to the advancement of women’s sports and social advocacy work. 

“This year, we are proud to celebrate Cheryl Reeve as our 2025 DreamMaker honoree! A trailblazer in professional sports, Coach Reeve’s leadership—both on and off the court—truly embodies our mission,” said Ann Bancroft. “She not only inspires her players but also countless young women and girls who see her living authentically and leading unapologetically without hesitation.”

Reeve is the winningest female head coach in the WNBA and has led the Lynx to four WNBA Championships, winning a total of six championships in her career, as well as helping the USA Basketball Women’s National Team to three Olympic gold medals. She is an activist, leader and mentor through her work both on and off the court, and is committed to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion for all communities.
