Lynx Add Another All-Star, Brunson Named Replacement Player

The Lynx have another All-Star!

Rebekkah Brunson was named to the All-Star team on Wednesday after Nneka Ogwumike withdrew from the game due to illness. Brunson will play on team Team Parker. This will be Brunson’s sixth All-Star appearance, and fifth as a member of the Lynx.

Earlier this season, Brunson became the WNBA’s all-time leading rebounder. She has also won more WNBA championships than any other player in league history.

Brunson will join Seimone Augustus, Sylvia Fowles and Maya Moore representing the Lynx this Saturday at the WNBA All-Star game right here at Target Center. This is the second year in a row the Lynx have had four players named to the All-Star team and the fourth time in franchise history. No other WNBA franchise has had four representatives more than once. Tickets are still available here if you want to see your favorite Minnesota stars take the floor with the league’s best.
