In her 12th season in the WNBA, Seimone Augustus is having a career year.

Through 13 games this season, Augustus is arguably shooting the ball better than she ever has in her career and she’s added yet another element to her offensive game.

Those are just a couple reasons why you should vote for Augustus for the 2017 WNBA All-Star Game on July 22 in Seattle.

“The way that she is playing and what she is getting done, embracing a variety of ways to score,” Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve said. “Her attracting attention to get (the ball) to someone else to get an easy bucket or her coming off of pin-downs and doing her thing, Seimone’s timing is impeccable. When it’s time to do something and when to make the right play.

“I think she is having a great season so far.”

The veteran guard is shooting 50.4 percent from the field, 52.4 percent from three (second highest percentage of her career) and 91.7 percent from the free throw line (second highest of her career).

Compared to last season, Augustus has seen her shooting percentages jump 4.4 percent from the field, 19.1 percent from behind the arc and 11.3 percent from the free throw line.

So far this season, Augustus is averaging 11.6 points, a career-high 3.5 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game. Her 3.5 assists a game are up from 2.4 in 2016.

Augustus is certainly off to a great start to the 2017 season. And that’s why she deserves your vote to get into the 2017 WNBA All-Star Game in Seattle.

Voting for the All-Star Game ends at 8 p.m. CT on July 6. To see the early return voting results, which were released on Thursday, click here.
