The Minnesota Lynx look to complete the 3-0 sweep of the semifinal round against the Washington Mystics on Sunday afternoon in the nation’s capital.

Here are three tidbits as we enter Sunday’s game:

  • Sunday’s game is the first road playoff game for Minnesota this postseason. During the regular season, the Lynx were 12-5 on the road.
  • Minnesota looks to sweep their opponent in the semifinal round for the second straight year.
  • If the Lynx win on Sunday, they will advance to their third straight WNBA Finals.

Last Matchup

Minnesota took down Washington 93-83 in Game 2 on Thursday night at Williams Arena.

Sylvia Fowles led the way for the Lynx with 25 points, nine rebounds, four assists and four blocks. Maya Moore had 22 points, including 11 in the fourth quarter alone, along with five assists and five rebounds, Seimone Augustus had 15 points and six assists, Rebekkah Brunson had a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds and Lindsay Whalen added nine points, seven assists and three rebounds.

For the Mystics, Kristi Toliver had 25 points and six assists and Elena Delle Donne had 25 points and five rebounds to lead Washington. Natasha Cloud had eight points and five rebounds, Allison Hightower had eight points and three rebounds and Tierra Ruffin-Pratt added five points, four rebounds and three assists.

Key Matchup: Lindsay Whalen vs. Kristi Toliver

One matchup to watch out for on Sunday afternoon will come between Minnesota’s Lindsay Whalen and Washington’s Kristi Toliver.

Whalen is coming off of one of her best games of the season, tallying nine points, seven assists and three rebounds on Thursday, including making numerous game-changing hustle plays.

Toliver bounced back after being held in check during Game 1 of the semifinals against Minnesota, but bounced back in Game 2, finishing with 25 points and six assists.

Injuries

Washington: Tayler Hill (knee) is out.

Minnesota: No injuries to report.
