Sefu Bernard
The 2025 season will be Bernard’s first with the Lynx as the Director of Player Development. Bernard joins the Lynx after serving in the same role for the Washington Mystics from 2015-2024. Previously, he served as the Senior Director of Basketball Operations for the NBA in Asia/Oceania where he oversaw the development of regional basketball initiatives in the region. Bernard spent time as a player development coach for the Connecticut Sun from 2011-2012 and as the National Development Coach for Canada Basketball from 2007-2009. He also served as a Manager of Player Development & Player Programs for the Toronto Raptors during the 2005-2007 seasons, where he helped to design and deliver programming to support the social, personal and professional development of the players.
A Toronto native, Bernard obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Windsor and earned advanced degrees from York University and Michigan State University. Bernard spent time with the Detroit Shock and Toronto Maple Leafs in sales and community relations capacities.
