Jeremy Ford

The 2026 WNBA season will mark Jeremy Ford’s first year as a dietitian with the Minnesota Lynx. He joins the organization after serving as assistant director of Olympic sports nutrition at the University of South Carolina.

At South Carolina, Ford was responsible for team meal planning and individualized nutrition support for student-athletes across multiple Olympic sports including South Carolina women’s and men’s basketball programs. He also coordinated educational programming, including grocery store tours and cooking demonstrations, while implementing hydration and supplementation protocols to support performance and recovery.

Prior to South Carolina, Ford served as a sports dietitian at James Madison University during the 2020–21 season, where he worked with the men’s and women’s basketball programs. As the programs’ first full-time dietitian, he managed the basketball-specific nutrition station, including staff oversight and inventory, in addition to providing daily performance nutrition support for student-athletes. Earlier in his career, Ford gained experience as a performance nutrition intern at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and the University of Alabama and also served as an adjunct instructor in Tuscaloosa, teaching courses in introductory and performance nutrition.

Ford is a registered dietitian nutritionist, a Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). He holds a Master of Science in Sports Medicine from Armstrong State and a Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition from Alabama, along with a Bachelor of Science in Human Performance from Armstrong State.
