Scouting Report | Lynx at Mystics

Lynx at Mystics, 3:00 p.m.
Capital One Arena
League Pass, BOB 106.1

In their second rematch game of the season, the Lynx are taking on the Mystics in D.C. on Thursday afternoon. Minnesota is playing in its eighth game of the season, and its fifth road game.

In their last game against the Mystics, the Lynx collapsed in the final quarter, scoring just 10 points and allowing Washington to score 24. Much of that production came from the Mystics’ bench—their second unit scored 58 points in a 90-78 victory. Minnesota’s backups have been playing well and have had a lot of time to gel since they last played the Mystics, so hopefully this one turns out differently.

The Mystics will be playing short-handed. They’ve been dealing with a string of injuries, mostly not basketball related—Elena Delle Donne and Natasha Cloud will likely miss Thursday’s game due to illnesses.

The Lynx are in fifth place in the Western Conference, three games out of the top spot. The Mystics are in second in the East, one game back on the league-leading Sun. After facing the Mystics, the Lynx travel to Connecticut to take on the Sun in the last game of their three-game road trip.
