MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Lynx today announced the team has signed forward Bashaara Graves to a seven-day contract.
Graves, a 6-1 rookie from the University of Tennessee, was selected in the second round (22nd overall) by Minnesota in the 2016 WNBA Draft. She has appeared in eight regular season games with the Lynx this season.
A product of Clarksville, Tenn., Graves averaged 10.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game in 33 contests for the Lady Vols in the 2015-16 season. She connected on 54 percent of her attempts from the field and hit 74 percent at the free throw line. She registered eight double-doubles in her final season, finishing her career with 29 to place ninth on UT’s all-time list.
