The Minnesota Lynx will host the Indiana Fever on Friday night in St. Paul.
The game, however, will have more meaning than just a typical WNBA game.
The Lynx will host their annual Breast Health Awareness Game at 7 p.m. Friday night against the Indiana Fever at Xcel Energy Center.
During the entire month of August, the Lynx will be recognizing Breast Health Awareness Month presented by Mayo Clinic.
During the game against Indiana, Minnesota will be wearing commemorative pink uniforms, which will be auctioned off following the game. All money raised during the auction will go towards the Lynx Foundation, which supports breast cancer research and support programs throughout the state of Minnesota.
Winning bidders from the auction after the game will get their jersey autographed and get a chance to meet the player and take a photo. Breast health survivors and organizations will also be recognized throughout the night Friday.
Along with the postgame auction, the first 5,000 fans entering the arena for the game will receive a branded water bottle.
