Lindsay Whalen Moves To Fifth In Franchise History In Steals

Lindsay Whalen has etched her name in yet another line in the record books.

With a steal of a bad Bria Hartley pass in the fourth quarter of Tuesday’s contest against the Liberty, Lindsay Whalen moved to fifth in steals in Lynx franchise history, passing Nicky Anosike. Her quick hands also helped her move to 14th in WNBA history in steals. Whalen now has 495 career steals, 219 of which came as a member of the Lynx.

The most steals Whalen has ever had in a game is five, a mark she’s reached on five different occasions. Whalen is known for her physical and scrappy defense, and opposing point guards certainly don’t appreciate playing against her.

Whalen is known for coming up big when it matters most, and when the game is on the line she can often be found fighting for loose balls, scrapping with opposing players and generally making things difficult for her opposition.
