In today’s Flashback Friday, we go back and take a look at Natasha Howard entering the WNBA in 2014.
Coming off of a four-year collegiate career at Florida State, Howard was selected by the Indiana Fever with the No. 5 overall.
She went on to spend two years with the Fever – which included a WNBA Finals appearance against the Minnesota Lynx in 2015 – where she averaged 5.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 0.5 assists in 64 games.
Prior to the 2016 season, Howard was dealt to the Lynx as part of a sign-and-trade deal. She went on to appear in 34 games a season ago and helped Minnesota reach the WNBA Finals, where the Lynx fell to the Los Angeles Sparks in five games.
During the 2016 campaign, Howard averaged 6.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 14.6 minutes per game.
Howard, who is set to play in her fourth WNBA career when the 2017 season kicks off, holds a career average of six points, 3.1 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.6 per game.
Next week, we will take a look at Lynx center Janel McCarville starting with a Roster Review on Monday.
