Danielle Robinson Injury Update

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL – The Minnesota Lynx today announced that guard Danielle Robinson underwent successful left ankle surgery today at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. The surgery was performed by Foot and Ankle Specialist Dr. Norman Turner in coordination with Lynx physicians Dr. Nancy Cummings and Dr. Diane Dahm. Robinson will be sidelined indefinitely, and a further update will be provided when appropriate.

The injury occurred at the 5:59 mark of the second quarter of Thursday night’s 89-73 Lynx victory over the Las Vegas Aces.

The seven-year pro out of Oklahoma has appeared in 28 games (two starts) for the Lynx this season, averaging 6.5 points (44.5%), 1.8 rebounds and a team-high 3.3 assists per game.

Minnesota’s next game is tomorrow, Tuesday, August 14 against the Chicago Sky at Target Center. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. CT and the game can be seen on Fox Sports GO and NBATV and heard on BOB 106.1 FM.
