Lynx and BOB 106 Announce Radio Broadcast Partnership
MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL The Minnesota Lynx today announced that BOB 106 (KLCI 106.1 FM) and the team has reached an agreement on a three-year radio partnership beginning with the upcoming 2006 WNBA season. BOB 106 will broadcast all 34 regular-season games, as well as the Lynx lone home preseason game on Saturday, May 13 against the Seattle Storm at the University of Minnesota Sports Pavilion (7 p.m.). Additionally, the broadcasts will include both pre and post-game shows hosted by Brian Sieman, who returns for his fifth season as the Lynx play-by-play radio voice.

BOB 106 will officially kick off the 2006 WNBA season by broadcasting live from the Lynx official draft party at NBA City Restaurant starting at 11 a.m. Minnesota won the fifth annual WNBA Draft Lottery in October, earning the first pick in the 2006 WNBA Draft. The team also holds the seventh overall pick in the WNBA draft, which is slated for April 5 in Boston.
BOB 106 (KLCI 106.1 FM), also the radio home of the University of Minnesota womens basketball program, is owned by Milestone Radio, LLC and is broadcast out of Elk River, Minnesota.
The Lynx open the 2006 WNBA regular season on Tuesday, May 23 against the reigning Eastern Conference Champion Connecticut Sun at Target Center. Tipoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. CDT.
