Lynx Foundation & FastBreak Foundation Grant Application
During the 2016 Minnesota Lynx season the Lynx Foundation and Lynx FastBreak Foundation look to support the Minnesota community in a variety of ways. We will feature events and grants to organizations that best fulfill the missions for either the Minnesota Lynx Foundation or Lynx FastBreak Foundation.
“Each season the Minnesota Lynx Foundation provides grants to organizations in the community to help fulfill their missions,” said Timberwolves and Lynx President Chris Wright. “It is a great way for the Lynx to give back to the Twin Cities community which has always supported our organization.”
The Minnesota Lynx Foundation supports breast cancer research and support programs in the state of Minnesota. For the 2016 season the Minnesota Lynx Foundation will be awarding four $5,000 grants to organizations that support breast cancer research in Minnesota.
The Minnesota Lynx FastBreak Foundation provides and supports hands-on programs that positively impact Minnesota youth. Through giving, education and basketball opportunities, the Foundation enables young people to make responsible decisions, contribute to their future and experience lifelong memories. For the 2016 season the Minnesota Lynx FastBreak Foundation will be awarding four $4,000 grants to organizations that provide programs that positively impact Minnesota youth.
All grant applications must be postmarked by Monday, May 2nd, 2016.
Grant recipients will be selected by the end of May 2016. Those winners will be honored throughout the 2016 Minnesota Lynx season.
The Minnesota Lynx Foundation and the FastBreak Foundation operate as a part of the Minnesota Timberwolves FastBreak Foundation, a non-profit organization as described in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
